Hi, I’m Emily, Certified Coach and Leadership Development Expert.
I’ve been there. I’ve spent the last 15 years working my way up the corporate ladder in a multinational corporation and have experienced failures, plateaus, and rejection.
I figured out how to grow myself as a leader in the corporate world starting from day one as a total newbie to being one of the company’s go-to executives, becoming a 6-figure earner by age 30.
I’m also the first person in my family born outside of Asia when my parents immigrated to Canada. This meant that I also needed to overcome what appeared to be a conflict between growing up with traditional Asian values (Work hard! Just focus on doing a good job! Don’t rock the boat!) and embodying the values necessary to succeed in a highly competitive and demanding company. I didn’t get any preferential treatment as a female, minority employee. Everything I learned, I learned the hard way (read: failed a lot).
Fast forward to today, and I’ve invested an equivalent of a PHD in time and money to learn the skills needed to lead yourself through failure, rejection and overwhelm.
